Operations Manager

St Jude’s Care is a local family business who have been operating for over 9 years and in that time we have grown from strength to strength, so much so we need to increase our team.  We are now looking for an experienced operational manager to join our team to ensure focused, cost efficient and quality delivery of our care.


Specify duties include (but not limited to):

  1. To implement and maintain monitoring mechanisms to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of care using the most cost effective method.    

  2. Overall responsibility to ensure that service quality checks for the care delivered are regularly undertaken in line with company policies and procedures.  

  3. To undertake the management responsibilities for the Deputy Manager, Care Managers and Care Supervisor positions within the company.

  4. Overall responsibility to ensure the effective implementation of the compliments and complaints procedure and handle any complaint effectively against the policy.

  5. Overall responsibility to ensure continuity of good quality care is provided by the company which meets the client’s needs through active monitoring of rota’s for live in and domiciliary care services and regular care plan reviews.

  6. Overall responsibility to ensure timely recording of data for clients and carers is undertaken within the company including:

    1. Client home records

    2. Office database

    3. Client and carer electronic records

  7. To undertake regular supervision for the individuals you have direct responsibility for in line with the employee handbook and company policies and procedures.

  8. Overall responsibility to ensure that the training needs of all staff are met effectively – implementing induction programmes and identify and provide for on-going training needs and continually develop the training programme to meet the needs of the business.


The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level and have previous management experience within an operational environment.  A knowledge or understanding of the care industry would be an advantage, or the willingness to learn about the industry. The operations manager would be a member of the company senior management team.

Salary is dependent on experience in the region of £32,000 to £40,000 per annum.
